Initial photo edits:
When thinking of the word fragments, the first thing that came into mind was lots of pieces of an element, broken pieces. That then lead me on to thinking of what could I produce that when broken, could have many smaller pieces of the original object. That is when I though of glass. So for the majority of my initial photo-shoot, I focused on capturing close-up images of shattered glass. I edited all 6 of these pictures in Photoshop, focusing on the high levels of contrast that I added to each image. I felt that the contrast made the shards of glass crisper and sharper, giving the overall images higher levels of detail that makes them more appealing to the eye. |
